How does hardness testers work?
The indicator is set on the hardness testing instrument to the reading position. The next step is to load the instrument. The indenter of the instrument is then set to make contact with the test specimen at an angle of 120 degrees. The next step will be to preset the required level of pressure that will be applied to the test material. Next, free the indenter to make an impact with the test specimen. Then take a record of the indentation. This record will be used to compare the next test.
